Martin the owner/guide with Foyle Trails holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Science and Post Grad Diploma in Paleao Ecology. I am also a qualified Bord Failte – Landscape and Countryside guide with over 17 years of experience in helping visitors discover the North West of Ireland. My interpreted landscape tours/experiences range out from Derry/Londonderry and cover counties Derry, Tyrone and Inishowen. 

Main activities – the exploration of Bronze Age and Celtic ritual sites and habitats, visitors can even do some field science. I also recount stories of the folklore and customs that  survive in the countryside we travel through. 

My passion is the delivery of unique experiences, to discerning visitors that really want to explore  unknown parts of North West Ireland that are truly beyond the usual honey pot attractions. ” There is much more to Ireland than the well known and well publicised tourist traps”         I specialise in providing eco friendly experiences to mini bus sized groups.
