Welcome to the Northern Ireland Business Facebook Group. We hope you get out of the group what you came for, and would invite you to get involved and contribute.
This is a business group, but it wouldn’t be Northern Ireland if we didn’t have a bit of banter. Please observe the usual limits of taste, decency & language, stay away from politics & religion, and be tolerant & respectful of others. The administrators reserve the right to remove any post they consider offensive, or not in the spirit of the group.
Please feel free to publicize your business, sell your product, network with others on the group and ask for recommendations. Promotions, vouchers, competitions (but see below) to promote your business – we are happy to see them all.
There are a few things that are not allowed in the group - we would appreciate your understanding and assistance with this.
- Recruitment agencies may of course promote their services, but no general recruitment or posting of jobs.
- Selling of products that should be on Facebook Marketplace (cars, sofas etc), house sales, and other things that have other places to be in Facebook.
- Estate agents can promote their businesses, but not the properties.
- Competitions to promote your business (a free meal, or night away, for example) are very welcome, however competitions that are themselves part of your business, where tickets are sold with a view to making money from the competition, are not.
- MLM companies can promote their products and services like any other business, but may not recruit on the page. We know the arguments, but this is our decision, as it is taking up a disproportionate amount of the admins' time.
- 'Like for a like' posts nor posts that solely ask group members to like or follow a business page. Members wishing to partake in 'like for a like' activities will have the opportunity to do so once a week in the dedicated 'Social Saturday' post. Anything posted outside of this will be removed.
Please answer the membership questions when applying and you will automatically be accepted. If you don’t, you will be declined and asked to reapply.
